The department of robotic urology and kidney transplant at Aakash Healthcare, Dwarka, celebrated a special milestone, completing 100 successful robotic urology surgeries.
The event was attended by senior urologists from AIIMS Delhi, Medanta, RML Hospital, Max Hospital, and Venkateshwara Hospital, along with more than 100 doctors from different specialities.

The robotic urology journey at Aakash Healthcare began two years ago when the hospital installed the Da Vinci Surgical System. Since then, the team has performed many complex surgeries, including those for prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and kidney transplants, using small cuts and offering faster recovery for patients.
Doctors shared how robotic surgery is helping save kidneys in cancer cases and how even young children as small as two years old have been successfully treated using this technology.
Dr. Vikas Agarwal, director & HOD – robotic urology, kidney transplant at Aakash Healthcare spoke about the department’s growth and presented some of the major surgeries done at the hospital. Patients also shared their experiences and recovery stories.
A panel discussion on ‘Past, Present and Future of Robotic Urology’ brought together leading names from the field such as Dr N P Gupta (Medanta), Dr. Rajeev Sood (vice chancellor, Baba Faridkot University), Dr. Rishi Nayyar (AIIMS Delhi), and Dr. (Col) Aditya Pradhan (Venkateshwara Hospital). They discussed how robotic surgery is changing urology care and how Aakash Healthcare is emerging as one of the centers leading this change.
