Sudpack Medica's blisters, packaging concepts and pouches

Sudpack Medica will once again showcase PharmaGuard, its pioneering recyclable blister concept at stand 4F12 at PharmaPack, Paris. Also taking center stage is MedGuard – a comprehensive range of low-particle packaging concepts and pouch solutions for the medical and pharmaceutical industries. As a further highlight, Sudpack will present its new MedHub service, which makes ordering pre-made three-side seal pouches fast and simple – in a wide variety of sizes.

The PharmaGuard packaging concept is now available in two versions: In addition to the transparent film, which has already received multiple awards, a white blister film is now also on the market. It offers high opacity and improved legibility when printed. This mono-material solution – free from phthalates, vinyl, PFAS, and halogens – offers an excellent water vapor barrier, outstanding push-through performance, and reliable processability on standard packaging machines.

Most importantly, this PP-based blister solution is recyclable and, according to an ISO 14040/44-verified LCA by Sphera, has a significantly lower climate impact than conventional composite materials made of aluminum and PET.

Under the MedGuard brand Sudpack Medica also offers a broad portfolio of packaging systems for medical devices and sensitive products. Robust rigid and flexible films, along with tailored pouch concepts, are manufactured under controlled clean room conditions to ensure maximum product protection, stability, and sterility throughout the entire process chain.

Sudpack materials can be equipped with specific barrier and peel properties and are compatible with flexible lidding systems made from film, Tyvek, or medical-grade paper. These materials seal trays securely and are designed for highly automated processes. The thermoformable rigid films are based on recyclable PET and PP, making them ideal for tray packaging used to secure surgical kits, instruments, syringes, and ampoules in place. Various packaging materials made of film, paper or aluminum can also be processed into pouches on standard form-fill-seal systems – and configured to meet customer-specific oxygen, moisture and light barrier requirements.

Another major product group to be showcased at PharmaPack will be Sudpack Medica’s range of pouch concepts. This includes both standardized and customized solutions used as process pouches for bioreactors, as header bags or patched bags for instrument sterilization, and for transferring sterilized products between clean rooms. This product segment also includes the company’s three-side-seal pouches, which can be precisely tailored to individual customer requirements in terms of shape, material combinations, functionality, and printing.

MedHub – streamlined portfolio, reliable service

For customers who require a steady supply of pre-made medical bag and pouch solutions in standard formats, Sudpack’s new MedHub service is the ideal choice. MedHub offers maximum flexibility, minimal effort, and reliable delivery – either on the requested date or just in time. Manufactured in ISO-classified clean rooms and backed by standardized certifications, these products meet the highest standards of quality and safety for medical use. In Paris, Sudpack’s film specialists will present this smart service to the public for the first time – demonstrating how easily orders can be placed by phone, email, or online.
