The Optima Packaging Group continued its solid growth in fiscal year 2025, increasing revenue by 6% to 850 million Euros. The family-owned German engineering company created 300 new jobs, raising its global workforce to 3,700 employees, including around 600 staff outside Germany.
Growth was driven primarily by strong demand in highly regulated industries, particularly pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and consumer goods as well as nonwovens. In the pharmaceutical sector, Optima saw continued momentum for advanced fill-finish systems, including solutions for GLP-1 products, high-potent drugs, aseptic applications, isolator technologies and lyophilization. Increasing regulatory requirements are accelerating investment decisions globally and reinforcing demand for integrated, compliant production concepts.
In the consumer and nonwovens segments, regulatory pressure and sustainability targets are reshaping packaging and production technologies. Optima supports manufacturers with solutions that combine industrial scalability, material efficiency and regulatory compliance, helping customers to implement innovative and more sustainable product concepts at industrial scale.
To further strengthen customer proximity, Optima continued to expand its international footprint in 2025. The company reinforced its presence in the United States, expanded engineering capabilities in India, and established new subsidiaries in Ireland, Italy and the United Arab Emirates. These investments enhance local expertise, shorten project timelines and further integrate Optima into its customers’ regional value chains.
“Throughout the year, we deliberately invested in strengthening our global workforce and expanding our international network,” said Johannes-Thomas Grobe, CEO Optima Pharma. “This allows us to work even more closely with our customers and to support them reliably, locally and across the entire lifecycle of their systems.”
“Despite a challenging global economic environment, we continued to grow because we consistently support our customers with solutions tailored to their specific requirements,” said Stefan Koenig, CEO of the Optima Group. “Our ambition is to remain technology leader and to address future challenges together with our customers worldwide.”
