With a customizable interior layout, it can be used with or without a truck. Moreover, the design allows all interior equipment to be stored within the unit, even when the expansion module is closed.
The portable medical units are foldable and comprised of patient beds, reception area, doctor’s consultation cum treatment room, toilet and a pharmacy counter. Moreover, the sizing of the unit is designed to allow users to rapidly deploy it anytime, especially in times of disaster and crisis. The company also states that there is a lot of interest from corporates to deploy these units as part of their CSR, and it has also received interest from NGOs and government agencies.

Commenting on the launch, Deep Khira, director Jayanand Khira, said, “We believe ‘every life is important’. During such challenging times, we are proud to have developed an innovative solution that will help us reach out to even the most remote parts of India. Having the right infrastructure plays a very important role in combating such a pandemic. With our portable medical units, we aim to strengthen India’s healthcare infrastructure and support the Covid warriors who have been tirelessly working to deliver the best facilities to all Indian citizens.”
Since this is a customizable unit, the pricing will vary depending on the equipment and features selected. The company looks forward to also tie-up with the Indian army to provide frontline warriors the best in class healthcare facilities even at the farthest border of the country.
