Hoffmann Neopac has received a binding offer for its metal division and is considering the sale of this business unit to a well-established international family-owned company with a strong presence in metal packaging.

The potential new owner would take over the production site in Dronten (The Netherlands), including all employees, and continue existing customer contracts. As part of the proposed transaction, production at the Thun site would be closed, affecting 75 employees.

The potential sale is currently the subject of a three-week consultation process, which started on 20 January, 2025. During this period, the employee committee will have the opportunity to propose alternatives to the sale and/or closure of production at the Thun site in order to mitigate the impact on the affected employees.

Further information on the potential sale will be made available after the consultation process in mid-February 2025.

The Hoffmann Neopac Group, based in Thun, Switzerland, is a manufacturer of high-quality metal and plastic packaging. The company operates six production facilities in Europe, the USA, and India, specializing in packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and consumer goods industries.
