Wifag-Polytype is a supplier of Swiss machinery for cup and tube printing with its India office in Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The company mostly deals with packaging manufacturers, establishing their cup and tube printing operations in India.
Wifag-Polytype has digital, flexo and offset tube printing machines along with offset and digital cup printing machines and digi bottle printing machines. The bottle machines are manufactured is Switzerland and Thailand while the laminated tube printing machines are imported from Bulgaria, where the company has a completely automated plant.
The company promoted its machines at the CosmoHome Tech event held from 26 – 27 June in Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
The company has had over a hundred installations in India, mostly in the North-Western region, including Noida, Haridwar, Roorkee, Baddi, and Indore. The company has some installations in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Wifag-Polytype has supplied tube printing machines to Albea Tubes, Introtek Global, Om Sai Ram Packaging, and Lamitube Private Limited, along with several other companies.
The tube packaging industry in India is growing very well with 30 % growth in recent years, Praveen Bhatia, member of the board of directors, Wifag-Polytype, says, adding that in recent years ABL (aluminum barrier laminate) tubes are not doing as well as PBL (plastic barrier laminate) tubes as the latter can be recycled.
