Fresio Herbals, a ‘manufacturer to market place’ service provider, recently participated in the Cosmohome Tech expo held from 19 – 21 July at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. According to Sumit Lathia, director, Fresio Herbals, it is the only manufacturer in India that has 80 IAC tax exemption on the basis of research. The company also has paraben-free trademark ownership.

Fresio Herbals caters to 28 categories of products. It has 600-plus unique formulas, which have been conceptualized along with FDA documentation support for each of these. The firm is into hair care, skincare, body care, and men’s, women’s, and kids’ range of personal care products.

The products offered are toothpaste for babies, handmade soaps and more. The firm has provided concept, research, design, prototype, data analysis, procurement, production and supply services to more than 30 brands in the last three years. Some of these brands are Sugar; Ecolab, a US-based company, among others.

Lathia says, “Every brand requires a story because cosmetics is all about storytelling. From story to final execution, we do complete hand-holding with the brand. Whether it is a formula, research, FDA regulation, packaging design, shipping, planning – we do it in one go.”

Multiple factors have to be kept in mind while designing personal care products, he says. These include whether the product is hazy or viscous, the brand’s aspiration value, how it wants to communicate itself, the color palette, niche market or mass market products, upcountry or within the country.

India is a very developed market. Still, there is a vacuum in the industry for good manufacturers. We are just trying to fill that vacuum with good practices. Fresio Herbals is willing to inspire new start-ups and brands, which initially launch 5-6 products with 4-5 ideas and after that get stuck. We govern that brand, push it with new innovations, new research, and periodic data analysis.”
