IBG (Innovative Beauty Group), a leading global beauty solutions provider, won a Cosmetics & Toiletries (C&T) Allē Award for its blue light-blocking cosmetics line, Screensaver, which was developed as a one-time feature collection exclusively available at Walmart. The line was named a winner in the Sun/Light Protection Product category for Finished Formulas – Mass. The award was presented by C&T and its parent company, Allured Business Media, at a ceremony on March 6, 2024, as part of its Beauty Accelerate event in Los Angeles.
The C&T Allē awards are intended to recognize and honor the scientific discipline, formulating skills, resourcefulness, and creativity of innovators throughout the cosmetic product development process — from ingredient suppliers and finished product manufacturers, to test method/tool designers, digital tech developers, and more. Judges comprised an esteemed panel of experts from companies including Shiseido, The Estée Lauder Companies, GOOP, CHANEL, L’Oréal, and others, who rated entries based on parameters such as sustainability, multifunctionality, novelty, safety, and proof of efficacy.
The company’s Screensaver line comprises a 9-product color cosmetics assortment of makeup essentials including primer, eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, lip gloss, and more. Each product in the range is formulated with high-quality, functional ingredients such as calcium sodium borosilicate, jasmine leaf cell extract, and sunflower seed oil that help reduce damage caused by daily environmental stressors and offer light-reflecting properties. This not only blocks blue light pollution from digital devices but also gives users a long-lasting glow beyond just the glow of their screens.
