Established in 2010, Mitsubishi India offers products and solutions for air conditioners, factory automation and industrial systems, power systems, photovoltaic solutions, semiconductors and devices, transportation systems and visual & imaging.

At the CphI & P-Mec show in Delhi, Mitsubishi displayed automation solutions for pharma packaging machinery. “We have automation solutions for machine control for the pharma manufacturing companies. The pharma industry is moving towards digitalization and our solutions are in line with Pharma 4.0 – a paradigm shift in the industry. Our solutions support computerization, preparation of documents, collection and analysis of required data for connectivity, enhancing visibility of the plant by calculating the OEM of the plant and improved machine performance, ” said Anil Bhise, senior manager – Sales (Pharma and F&B), Factory Automation and Industrial Division, Mitsubishi India.

On display at the stand was the MELSERVO-J5 controller series. The Servo amplifiers feature high responsibility with a speed frequency response of 3.5 kilohertz, reducing the cycle time of production machines. The rotary servo motors equipped with a high-resolution encoder (67,108,864 pulses/rev) offer stable control by lowering torque fluctuation.

Explaining the product, Bhise said, “The new controller enables better speed and better capability of controlling the motions of a packaging machine. It can communicate on a different range of motors, which helps to increase the performance of a packaging machine. It is an enhancement tool for the pharma and packaging machinery.”

Apart from the controller, Mitsubishi displayed its range of software packages at the event. The software has standardized programs that reduce engineering time while manufacturing a machine. The tool can help engineers to reduce the time for machine designing. It also automates the process for time and efficiency.

“We also have solutions for machine integration in our factory automation division. The range of software is capable of predictive analysis of products to help one increase the efficiency of a plant and monitor its efficiency. These tools can be applied to any industry,” Bhise added.
