Domino Printech India showcased their thermal transfer overprinter, continuous inkjet, thermal inkjet, piezo inkjet and laser printers at the recently concluded CPHI PMEC held from 28 – 30 December 2023 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The printers cater to a variety of applications in the heathcare, pharma and non-pharma segments.
Ajay Rao Rane, vice president – digital printing business at Domino Printech India said, “Today, there are pharma regulations in the country where they have to do track and trace. We have customers who are using these printers to print the alphanumeric numbers, batch numbers, 2D codes and QR codes as per their requirements for track and trace applications.”
The piezo inkjet printer can be used for printing of secondary cartons, the thermal inkjet printer is used for primary cartons for printing of batch codes while laser printers can be used in most of the applications, Rane shared with Packaging South Asia.
“Domino Printech has got many solutions and has a very high market share in the heathcare and pharma segment. We work with a lot of partners, where we provide the printing solution while the track and trace solution comes from their side, and then the entire solution is provided to the customers. Our machines can give short runs, with as much quantity as the customer wants and fulfil the requirements of the European market,” he said.
Domino Printech’s products are developed and designed based on customer feedback, he said, adding that the company caters to the pharma segment through its 18 different branch locations where every branch location has independent sales and service teams. “We are closer to the customer and we offer what the end user requires – we call it the Domino difference. It is not about the technology, there are people who can import the technology and give it to them. But what if they don’t give an after sales service or a consultative approach to customers,” he shared.
We have solutions which have been developed for the customers and we are always responsive to the customers, he added. Our service teams are proactive when it comes to customer requirements rather than being reactive and going to visit the customer sites only when there are complaints. Our branch managers and senior service managers visit customers on a regular basis just to get their feedback, Rane said.
“CPHI PMEC is a reputed and leading exhibition for the pharma sector where you can find everyone who is offering solutions to the pharma industry. You get domestic as well as international visitors here who are interested in machinery for the pharma and healthcare industry,” he said.
We have been participating in the CPHI PMEC for the last couple of years, he said, adding that every time we get buyers, suppliers and partners who come to learn more about our products. Both existing customers as well as business visitors who can’t find the exact solution for their products visit our stand. A good amount of leads get converted as Domino Printech has been servicing the pharma and healthcare segment for thirty years now, he said, adding that they had been promoting about their participation in CPHI PMEC for the last six months and their marketing team has done a good job of it.
