The demand for pallets has touched 90 million in India, says EXZOD India, a Mumbai-based player in pallets’ manufacturing, sale, and maintenance. Key drivers of the demand are growth, an improvement in supply chain management, and automation in both materials handling at the production and user end and even at the storage level for industries such as FMCG, consumer durables, logistics, retail, petrochemicals and automotive and PL logistic players.

We believe the logistics and supply chain sector will continue to offer opportunities, with an upsurge in the share of organized retail and eCommerce. Owing to the nature of goods and the need to move them quickly from manufacturing locations to the points of consumption, there is heavy demand for the pallet business from existing and new customers,” said Nitin Kalla, founder, and managing director, EXZOD India.

The company provides wooden pallets and packaging boxes for storing and moving finished products and raw materials in industries such as FMCG, retail, automobiles. It aims at managing a pool of assets pallets, which it intends to maintain for its clients across India. Annual maintenance Contract (AMC) is a strategic business option for companies to reduce capital expenditure, repair costs and to improve handling processes.

The company provides customized solutions as per requirement such as technology-embedded AMC services. The idea is to revamp the traditional nail-and-hammer AMC approach with an automatic AMC approach embedded with advanced robotics.

EXZOD has three manufacturing units in Punjab, Maharashtra, and Haryana. The units are equipped with modern automatic pallet manufacturing machines.
